9 week Apt.

This morning we had a regular check up appointment. We met with Dr. Popov, which Rusty had not met yet. When I first scheduled the appointment we were thinking I would be about 12 weeks and after the sono I am only 9 weeks along. So, Dr. Popov was not able to find a heart beat but she assured me that there was no reason the worry. She said that the earliest that she can usually hear one is 10 weeks. She answered my list of questions too!!

I go back August 24th (the day before school starts) for a 12 weeks sono. Most people don't do another sonogram until 20 weeks but the sonographer is in the midst of another certification and is giving away FREE sonograms!! Whoo Hooo! So, we will be able to see the baby again and finally hear a heart beat!

Love at first sight!!

We had the 1st sonogram this morning and it was very exciting!! Based on my last cycle everyone thought I was 9 weeks along and it turns out I am only 6 weeks and 1 day. I'm actually quite happy about the change in weeks. It just seems to work better this way. My official due date is March 4th! The baby is currently a little less than 1/2 a cm. Wow, and already has a heart beat. This stuff is amazing!!We did not get to hear a heart beat but we could see a flicker. I go back to the Dr on July 31st and we should be able to hear the heart beat then. I also learned today that it was my left ovary that did all the work.

The only concern she had is with the cyst, which is what released the egg. It's normal and necessary to be there(I think it's attached to the wall on my uterus?? Or, maybe attached to my ovary??I could be wrong?) but it's a bit larger than normal. Usually they are 3cm and mine is 5cm. She said it's not a big deal but just wanted me to be aware of it and cautious. Worst case is it gets over sized and detaches and will cause me lots of pain. She doesn't foresee any issues and told me not to worry. Just wanted to let yall know so yall can add one more thing to your prayer list :)!

It's such a sigh of relief knowing that it's official. After a sleepless night last night full of crazy thoughts, I'm very happy. I got the two things I was praying for......baby and heart beat!!!

1st Doctors Appointment.....

Today, Rusty and I went for our first Dr. apt. We did lots of paperwork and answered a lot of questions. I did have a chance to ask my list of question(literally, I've been writing them down as I think of them!). She did a pap and Rusty has never gotten to experience that part of being a girl. It was quite funny! He said, "That thing that they put in there it...". As he asked he motioned his hand in and then apart. I told him, "Yes that's exactly what just happened!" Very funny! I had blood drawn and then we spoke with the insurance lady. Wow, kids are expensive from the beginning.

Tomorrow is the exciting day. We have an appointment for the first sonogram. We will get to hear the heart beat, see our sweet baby, and find out an exact due date. I can't wait. All I want is to hear a heart beat. For those of you that don't know, I tend to worry....about everything. I think it will allow me to be a lot more at peace.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this then you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4: 6-7

Happy Anniversary!!

I will start from the beginning.....I knew I was going to take a pregnancy test on June 23rd, which happens to be our two year anniversary. At 4AM I had to get up to go potty, so I decided to go on ahead and take the test. I was so anxious and couldn't wait. I peed and waited.....PREGNANT! It was an overwhelming feeling! I wanted to tell Rusty immediately but then I wanted to be a bit creative. So, I decided to wrap up the "stick" and give it to him as an anniversary present. Picture me at four in the morning trying to find tissue paper, bag, take pictures of the test, and be super quiet all at the same time. Well, of course Gracie (my Yorkie) ruins the plan by scratching at the back door and waking Rusty up. So, everyone is up and I tell Rusty that I want him to open up a present. He complains," It's 4 in the morning, I have to work tomorrow." I finally get him to open it......
He's opening......
He said, "Is this for real?"....

and Happy!!

We were both very excited and could not wait to share the news with our friends and family! Happy Anniversary to us!!
